I purchased a roper dryer from Lowes about 2 years ago. It broke down once before and they came and fixed it. It was the thermostat. Now about 6 months later I put clothes in it and put it on timed dry and when I came home 3 hours later the dryer was still on and my clothes were wet. What is wrong with it?

For some reason it didn't heat, The timer won't advance with the heat not working. Check the element and the safety therm. at the top of the heater box. Also check the circut breaker in the house (The 1 for the dryer)

A Model Number would help.
Need to find the wiring diagram for the unit.
First try turning the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. |

The first thing I would do is flip the dryer breaker off and on a few times, to be sure it did not partially flip. If not it is either the element or the thermal fuse. You would need an ohm meter to check. Tom
