i want to install this dryer in my rv problem is campgrounds have only three prong 30 amp 110 voltage need to know how to wire to make this dryer work proper thanks

model number for dryer is lew0050pq my misstake in giving washer model

Did find out it is a 240 volt dryer Could not find a wiring diagram for it
Even if you could wire it to run on 120 volts it would take a long time for it to dry anything as the heating element is 240 volts.
On a 240 volt system Neutral to L1 usually runs the motor, L1 to L2 runs the heater. On 120 you have no L2. So Neutral and L2 have to be connected together. The ground strap in the machine which goes to Neutral in a 3 wire 240 volt hookup has to be removed. The ground from the 120 line cord has to be connected directly to the frame.
Without a wiring diagram to check all current paths you may end up with a dead short so I would advise against this. |
