Initial problem was unit was running all the time and not getting cold enough. THINK problem was clogged defrost drain. Unit cools good now but temp in fridge varies. Example...turned down temp setting to 2 last night but thermostat reads 32F this AM. Assume temp control thermostst. Could it be low on freon charge or cendenser issue causing too much cooling? Thanks

How was it acting then? What did you do to repair the clogged drain? Quote:Example...turned down temp setting to 2 last night but thermostat reads 32F this AM. Assume temp control thermostst. Could it be low on freon charge or cendenser issue causing too much cooling? So it's getting to cold now? If it was low on freon or the condenser fan motor was not running it would not get to cold, but would warm up. If it gets to cold then I would replace the cold control/thermostat.

Has a plastic trap just to the outside of the freezer and alot of black junk came out when I cleaned. Unit began to cool good after this. Condenser and fan motor running. Just surprised to go from too warm to to cold with only chnage being cleaning of drain.
