My dryer works right off the bat, works great, at some point the flame goes out but then wont re-light. If I give it a few minutes and turn it on again it then will light. This thing is old but I know how to fix most things on it. I like that. Hate to replace with one I don't know. Has a new ceramic starter and belt. And just greased the drum. All good but not enough heat.

It sounds like the secondary coil on the gas valve is bad. Replace both coils on the gas valve, and that should do it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
