I was defrosting and a small fire got started by a twist tie. I put it out immediately but now it won't start up. There wasn't any noticeable damage inside. What could be wrong?

What could be wrong? Hi Dwnbrwn6. We will need your exact model # to assist with parts. Some microwave's have a moisture moniter sensor which will open under these conditions. Thank You.
