Model Number: GR396LXGQ (Whirlpool Range)

The front panel on my range is discolored. I have purchased a new panel and now I need to remove the old panel. To remove the panel, it appears that I need to remove the plastic pieces on the side. I have attached a picture of my range and pointed out the part I am replacing. Does anyone have pointers on how to remove the side pieces that I am pointing to?

Thanks

Here's a breakdown of your unit Model GR396LXGQ0

You need to remove the rear panel and there are screws in the bottom of the end caps, remove the screws and then the end caps.
I would take one piece off at a time, the infiniate switches and the control board so that the wires don't get mixed up.

Thanks for the link to the schematic diagram. That was very helpful. To get at some of the screws for that white plastic endcap, I also had to remove the cooktop. Luckily it was just two screws to move the cooktop out of the way.

The control knobs are all screwed onto the panel. Those are easy to take off. I was more confused with how to remove the red burner indicator lights. There are three of them on my model. They appear to snap in. I didn't want to break them, so I didn't want to exert to much force to remove them.

Thanks,
J
