Problem started several months ago when the dishwasher would cycle over and over again until we manually stopped it. I fell asleep the other night and forgot to shut it off, it was in the dry cycle (heated dry was turned off)
Now it sounds like it's trying to run but won't. The water fills in and it seems like the heating element get hot.
The Dishwasher has always been VERY noisy and is about 11 years old.
Doing dishes by hand for 7 people  sucks and I can't afford a new one.
Hope you can help!

It sounds like at minimum you need a new pump & motor assembly, AP2616850. But it sounds like you have a timer problem too, AP2039699
and maybe the timer cam AP2039389. Which would be about $180 in parts.
One thing I do when someone cant afford the new parts is look on ****. If you want to send me an email I can send you some links that maybe more affordable.
