This may sound stupid but does the dishwasher heat the already heated water coming into the dishwasher or is the hot water coming directly from my hot water heater? If the water comes directly from my hot water heater are you saying my hot water heater may be heating the water to much for the dishwasher?

I just ran the dishwasher with a jumper wire to finish the cycle so the water would drane. I then unplugged the main power just to be safe while it sits. Richappy suggested the Amprobe, I don't have one and I think this is gowing beyond my ability. If I get an Amprobe where do I take the reading for the heater and motor?
