I've kept this simple machine (double decker) alive for years...new problem.
DURING wash cycle the soapy water is being pumped out !!!

and during spin cycle soapy water is being pumped (and foamed up) and you can see it pouring through the removable lint filter at the top of the basket area.

Has a control rod slipped off the pump? Do I need a new pump...haven't opened it up yet....I hope I see a dangling control rod that I can simply re-attach.

Thanks in advance :)

Given the age I have no experience on it and I doubt others do also. Maybe its time to retire it, particularly since this site does not even list parts for the machine.

My laundry is 100% cotton...that leaves A LOT OF LINT. ....my theory is that the pump or pump switch is clogged up with lint and the switch function is jammed...so that the valve is stuck between 2 positions in routing the water BACK INTO THE BASKET or OUT THE DRAIN PIPE.

The schematics were helpful....
