Have never seen one in the freezer compartment.
Usually when they are place in the compressor compartment under the fridge they are just behind the kick plate or just behind the rear grill. This allows easy access if you want to manually force a defrost cycle.
What you may see is just a bracket/plate with a hole in it. Behind the hole will be the cam to manually rotate the timer.
Other that that I am stumped. |

You cannot really tell from a schematic/wiring diagram where the parts are. They place them so that the diagram is simpler to read and not by physical location. |

hi again, i found, down in the left hand corner a plate with a hole in it. with a black plastic piece behind it. 2 screws on the front of the frig and one on the side of the plate. i removed all 3 screws, but can't get the plate to come out. i think maybe that black plastic piece may be it. if i could turn the frig on its back and get it from underneath would be easier. any idea how to get this plate off.
Thank you so much for all your help, i hate to keep bothering you. thank goodness everyone isn't this much trouble.
Thanks j
