Not sure the brand says Imerial on door. The upper portion of the door does not adhere when closed. It has a gap which causes the upper part of the freezer to have ice build up rapidly. I don't know if I just need a new seal or if I need the inner part of the door. Trying to find out what parts I need to buy.

Is the door gasket physically broken?

Is the door twisted?

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Door replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE UL4000ECW2 | AppliancePartsPros.com

No the gaskit is not broken and the door does not seem to be bent or twisted. The top of the door just does not seal anylonger. So I don't know if I need to order just the gasket or the middle portioin of the door. They seem to be two seperate pieces the gasket being 124. and the middle part being 185.59

Before order any parts you may want to try to adjust the gasket using a hair dryer. After you will get the door sealed properly, tape it closed for a few hours.

My name is Mike I'm having the same problem, with my gasket the hing side is good bottom good handle side just below the lock upward it starts to gap about 1/2 " continues to the hing, so if I use a hair dryer and strap the door this should cure the problem I see where the gasket is shrunk in if not ill order a new gasket
