Hello,

i'm new to the site. Well my problem is when i went to start my gas dryer it made the sound (as long as i pressed the button done) but it would not start. I have checked and made sure the door was closed and it is getting power all assume since the light still comes on when i open the door.

I called maytag and got nowhere. I hear that it could be a belt or even a thermal fuse blown but how do i know which it is so i can fix it?

Also, how do i get to the thermal fuse and belts to troubleshoot.

Please help...

It will either be the thermal fuse that is mounted to the side of the flame tube, or the door switch. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
