Is it easy to replace the oven heating element on a Hotpoint Oven? It's the bottom element.

Hi vanessaqt4

Yes, it is a pretty simple job.

Turn off the circuit breaker for the range. Remove two screws holding the bake element. Pull the bake element out as far as the wires go. Do not use an excessive force. Remove the wires from the old bake element and connect them to the new element. Make sure the connections are tight enough. Install the bake element in place and put the screws back. Turn the circuit breaker on and enjoy.

Good luck.
Gene.
