Hello, my Maytag Centennial Washer has recently started having agitating problems. It seems the agitating isn't as strong as it should be, and it barely agitates at all. I replaced the cam kit and dogs, but I still have the same problem. It spins during the spin cycle fine, it just doesn't agitate fully during washing, from the bottom up. Any help is very appreciated, we have 5 kids, so we have quite a bit of backed up laundry!

It's definitely the bottom half of the agitator. I took off the top half, and ran it without water, and it just clicks and jerks back and forth. Basically it sounds like jerk-click, jerk-click, jerk-click...

If the clicking is coming from the agitator, try replacing it. Sounds like it could be something broken inside the shaft.
The other possibility is the transmission. If the machine spins ok then that should rule out the coupling.
