We just moved into a house and ran the dishwasher. We found out that the some standing water was left at the bottom (about 1'' deep). GE Model: GSD6860J01SS
Does this unit have the piston and nut assembly which often fails?
We tried using rinse only but it did not work either.
What do you think is the possible cause?
Any help is appreciated.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for General Electric GSD6860J01SS Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.comDoes this unit have the piston and nut assembly which often fails? No it does not It has a separate drain pump (Item 325 i Section 5). Could be clogged filters, a bad flapper valve (Item 328), a bad /clogged pump or a blocked drain hose. A common place for the hose to plug is where it attaches to the house plumbing so I would start there. Item get stuck on the fitting and build up causing a partial plug. |

Thanks, Denman. I will disconnect the drain hose from the house plumbing and check if it drains ok. Then let you know the results for further advice. Thanks.
