I have replaced the motor on my Kitchen Aid dishwasher. The unit does not leak but I am hearing a noise from the motor. Could I have not lined up the ends correctly or is this motor bad?

Does the motor run? Did you install the new motor in accordance with the Tech sheets?

Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDM01FKSS0

Gene:

Thanks for the info. I have ran the dishwasher a few more times and it seems to be running fine although I found a tab ( 15 parts )that was left off the unit. Could you tell me where it goes?

Thanks in advance!

I believe this is one of the three locking tabs which secures the sump to the dishwasher body.
