Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/29/2011(UTC) Posts: 4		Freezer is about 20 degrees, frig in the 50's....The frig cycles threw the defrost stage and it does defrost..Heater, thermostat working..All the fans work but its not cold enough....Whats next...Freon...??

If you remove the freezer back panel and see little frost, that would confirm a bad compressor/refrigerant leak, usually terminal.

The compressor is more "hot" than warm, but is running....There is frost on the evap coils, but melt away during the defrost cycle(s)....I did change out the thermostat as it was a cheap first step...(Of course it changed nothing !!)...

Your fridg is running constantly and depending on your power rates, consuming about $100 extra in power each month.
