I have a 3 yr old frig that is freezing food in the lower bins but is normal on the upper shelves on the refrigerator side.
On the freezer side it is freezing on the lower part but is below freezing at the top, the ice is melting in the bin. I removed the rear panel in the freezer and found the coils were frozen up, and the circulation fan is not operating. I think this is the problem, but don't know if it's the fan motor or what ever is controling it. I did a google search and found there is a Main Control Board 1194711, and a Defrost Thermostat 1170024. Am I on the right track or is there something else that is causing the problem?
