I wanted to followup with you guys since I completed the work. THE DRIVE BLOCK WAS BAD. You guys hit it right on the head. The drive block inner corners were worn (angled) allowing the block (and tub) to jump the tangs it fit down on. FIRST time I ever tore a washing machine apart. Was easy, once you see how it goes together.
One side note, and for others....when I got to the spinner-nut, I couldn't get it off. Had to stop and order a spinner-nut wrench, which set me back about a week and a half while it was shipped. Once I got that, the nut came off in about 3 seconds. Now I have a spinner-nut wrench and don't anticipate using it ever again. If you know someone who wants to buy one cheap.....
Anyway, thanks again for saving me lots of $$$ and helping me through this.
For anyone reading this, I recommend these guys highly!!
