I have a LG dishwasher that reads error code TE, which the owners manual says it has to do with the thermistor. The error code appeared last night after the power went out for a couple hours. What is the thermistor? It is shown in the wiring diagram, but it is not listed in the parts manual. Any helpful info?

I believe it is listed as a sensor Item F022 in Section 2.

It is a device that changes resistance with temperature.

Here is a manual it is the closest I could find to your unit.

You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

There is info on how to check it in the "Trouble Shooting Methods" section.

Try removing power from the unit for 5 minutes or so to see if it will reset the board.
If the thermistor checks out OK for resistance then odds are that the control board is shot.
