I have got a Magic Chef oven/range that when the bake/broil/clean temp is set after about 30-45 seconds it turns off. For a while you could reset it 6 or 7 times and it would finally start, but now it no longer starts heating at all. (yes it is wired correctly) I have been searching around and so far i can only find that it could be the clock/controller. They are discontinued, but there are repair people. I have quite a bit of electronics/appliance repair, but being my home stove i dont' have the resources to take it into work and fix it there. If anyone has experience with this problem any advice would be much appreciated. If it is the clock... what needs to be fixed on it? and i can probably do it.

i have the control board off and there is a couple of burnt solder connections. one of them is connected to green capacitor. i resoldered the connections the best i can, but have no way of knowing if that capacitor is bad. the resoldereing didn't fix the issue. Anyone know of a way to test that capacitor so i might fix it myself? or am i shooting in the wrong direction for this problem?
