Sometime in the last two days, my icemaker stopped producing ice. I have cycled the icemaker and determined that water is not being delivered to it. I hear a buzzing sound in the back when a call is made for water, and the supply to the refrigerator is good, but nothing to the ice maker.
I have now noted that I observe the same symptoms for the water dispenser inside the refrigerator; i.e., when you press the button for water, you hear the buzz in back, but no water. My wife had replaced the filter about two weeks ago, so I suspected that as the source of the problem, but removing it doesn't change anything (we ran with no filter at all for a long time).
I now suspect some sort of problem with a valve/solenoid in the water path, but the last time I was in the back of this thing the routing wasn't obvious to me. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong, and where I should stick my voltmeter (polite suggestions, please!)?
Thanks.
