My icemaker quit working and I'm trying to fix it my self. In looking around this forum I found some troubleshooting steps to take. I took the cover off the motor and when I tested at the N & L points on the motor, I am only showing 34.5VAC and if I am correct, I should have 120VAC at the these points.
I tried searching for further steps on what to do next but am not having any luck and I am stuck at this point and don't know where to go next. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks for any and all help!!!!

I found another post and I checked the thermostat test points T & H and I get the same 34.5VAC at those points too. I checked the connector coming out of the side wall of the freezer and I get the same measurement at the plug so I it seems to be something somewhere else.

Don't everyone answer all at once.....DOH!!!!! Just kidding.....
Update: I found another post from someone who had the same issue as me on another site that said a tech told them to replace the infra-red boards in the freezer. Anyone here have any issues or experience with this? And would it be hard to replace them myself? They come as a set (the transmitter and the reciever)

If you close the left flapper door, close the door switch and verify the optics switch is turned on, you should get 115 volts at the icemaker. If the optics are blinking, replace the optics.

I did what you said and when I close the flapper, the door switch and have the ice maker switch on, the light stays off and I still get 34.5VAC at the ice maker. Any ideas?

Close the flapper only, red light should be on solid, no blinking.

OK... If I open the door and close the flapper, the light continues to blink whether the switch is on or off. If I close the flapper and the door switch then the light stops blinking. If I am reading between the lines correctly, it seems to be that I need to replace the IR boards?

The optics emitter must go to infrared mode (invisible), so your optics are bad.

Well then I will give that a try and let you all know how it went. Thanks again for the help. I really do appreciate it.
