My front loader Maytag Neptune Washer stopped during the rinse cycle and the timer says 16 minutes left. The led for the door locked indication is lit. I attempted many times to power the unit off and restart it but no joy. I have unplugged the unit many times as well with the same results. When I set it to the desired setting the door locks ( hear it latch ) the door locked indicator is on but the timer indicates 29 minutes but does nothing and no water starts to enter either. There is still some residual water left in the drum. If it sits long enough it beeps and the code nd begins to flash. Help.....

Well as it turns out.....the inlet or suction side of the discharge or drain pump is just large enough for a quarter to lodge itself into the opening and against the impelller and in this configuration it will allow a penny to pass through and stick in the drain hose. Not to mention it will not allow the pump to run. It turns out that my fix was inexpensive and easy, thank God! Although forgetting to return the drain line to the drain opening made the first load thereafter interesting as it did drain on the floor.....
