Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/8/2011(UTC) Posts: 1		Our Whirlpool ET1WTKXKQ01 Top Freezer blows air in both compartments but spoils food. I don't hear the compressor kick on. THe area around the gaskets are cool, not warm. We purchased the home last year and the appliance is nearing 10 years old. I don't know the history beyond this past year. My experience is that it is better to replace an older unit than to attempt repair. I am not adverse to repair but need help to troubleshoot or suggestions on top freezer reliable brands if the advise is to replace. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Michael

Before removing wires, take a picture of them or make a scribble drawing. Be sure to plug in the run capacitor into the new device.
