The "Normal Wash" light on my Kenmore Elite dishwasher keeps flashing and the lights on either side of it are very dimly lit. The dishwasher basically does nothing.

I cycled the power, but that didn't help. I put it into the diagnostic mode and all lights light up. I then disassembled the front-panel and checked the keypad with an ohm meter, thinking it might be a stuck key, but it seems as though all of the keys are functioning properly.

So, should I buy a new electronic control panel, or could it still be the keypad and I'm just making a mistake in how to diagnose it?

I wish someone could help us here. I replaced the control board and later it appeared to be working but got stuck on "wash cycle", i.e. it kept washing. Now the "normal wash" light is blinking again.

I originally bought a new control board, because it seemed as though the keypad was OK, but that didn't solve the problem. So, I returned the control board and bought a new keypad- that solved it. Everything works now.
