Washer fills, then stops and motor starts humming, then it trips my breaker. It smells like rubber burning. Should I get a new motor for it? Help please, anyone know what to do next?

That sounds like a bad motor to me.

So is it worth it to fix it, seeing how it is about 13 years old, or should I just buy a new washer?

A new motor is about $114, if ordered from this site. Replacement is a personal call. Here's a link to the motor. Motor assemblyNat
