Hey, Thanks in advance for looking at this and helping me diagnose my problem. Here's what I've got:

2006 WP Duet Washer
F06 error code

I've disconnected and re-set the MPU, CCU and the motor connections. (I think I found the CCU, followed the wires from the MPU to a board up on top, towards the back, thru the removed back panel.

I found the service manual and ran the diagnostic test. All seems good, no prob. Spins like a demon.

The code only happens on the longer cycles, the "Whites" and "Heavy Duty". "Normal" is normal...so no code!

Any idea's?

Thanks!
Brad

I am guessing here that despite the fact that the MCU checked out it is probably defective. Try replacing it. If you buy from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it, see the returns policy for details and conditions.l

Hey Thanks, I'll check into that.

Also, After some more research, I have a new symptom.....It will show F06 anytime it has anything more than a light load. So the Normal cycle is not so normal unless it has a super light load.

Is is possible the motor is tired or do I still consider the MPU?

Thanks again!
Brad

It is possible for the motor to be defective, but motors on washers are very reliable whereas electronics not so much.

The way in home techs diagnose and fix problems on these machines is to replace parts until they find the combination that fixes things. In short they don't do diagnosis because they cannot do diagnosis.

Not a good system, but once they put electronics in these machines that was the result.

Good luck.

I am having the exact same problem. When I put it on rinse/drain to finish after f06, if I re-balance the load the drum will turn, if I don't I just get another f06. Any chance it is the belt?

I doubt it's your belt. If you open the back you can do a visual on the belt. I replaced the MPU board on mine and have not had any problems.
Good Luck!
