Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/22/2008(UTC) Posts: 2		Yes, I bought this stuff. My icemaker works but only if I pull the paddle out on the bottom of the icemaker about every hour. Has anyone ever had the spring to fail (or get too weak) to push the paddle all of the way out?

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/26/2008(UTC) Posts: 4		The return spring probably has broken (unlikely) or one or both of the ends has come out of the holes in the icemaker and paddle. Should be a very easy fix. Remove the icemaker. The paddle is attached to the icemaker with one screw. inspect the spring to see if it is broken or one of the ends has come out. If you fine either, remove the screw and replace the spring or put the spring ends back in the holes. If the spring is broken you will probably have to improvise, as I doubt that GE will sell the spring only.
