Hello,

I need some assistance on how to install the main belt for a Maytag MDG9316AWW. Part #AP285924. I tried it several times and I the belt seems longer than it should be. I know the part is correct since it match the old part. Any assistance will be helpful and appreciated.

Regards

Your belt should have info on the plastic package, if not, open up the front of the dryer and rout the new belt around the drum in FRONT of the groove in the drum. Make sure the smooth side is against the drum.
Remove back panel and rout the belt around the idler pulley and around the motor pulley. There is only ONE way it will go on properly.
