My freezer compartment in a seven year old subzero temps out at minus-20 degrees F and the freezer condenser motor appears to run constant. I had cleaned the right side of the coils on top, (left side inaccessible without tearing sheet metal apart). Refrigerator side runs fine at 38F. As Fred Williard would say, "Whaaa happened?

Sounds like a faulty thermostat has your compressor running constantly or more than it needs to; minus 20 is way too cold... If adjusting control to warmest setting doesn't correct this problem then replace it... cheers, kooler

Before replacing cold control, check the airflow from the freezer to the fridge section, if low airflow, you might have ice jamming the vent, also check the vent at the bottom of fridge.

The control board was defective for the sub-zero.
