Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/9/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a GE Profile, Arctica, PSS25NGMACC, refridgerator. It is having temperature control problems. Even with the temperature setting at 42, it constantly sits around 29 to 33 degrees. I've unplug it, and it still does not maintain temp. I was told by a neighbor that it is my damper assembly, but I don't want to purchase this without knowing for sure what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

I was thinking about ordering the Damper Door kit but not sure if this will solve the problem. Please let me know what you did? Thanks!

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 5/28/2008(UTC) Posts: 1,620		To check if the damper door is broken, remove the light cover at the top of the refer, remove the rear light bulb. Shine a flashlight down the hole and see if the damper door is laying in there, push in the light switch, see if the door opens or not. This will tell you if it is broken.
