I have a GE Profile, Arctica, PSS25NGMACC, refridgerator. It is having temperature control problems. Even with the temperature setting at 42, it constantly sits around 29 to 33 degrees. I've unplug it, and it still does not maintain temp.

I was told by a neighbor that it is my damper assembly, but I don't want to purchase this without knowing for sure what the problem is.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's possible that it is the thermistors there are three of them 2 in freezer section and one in refrigerator hidden in the channel that holds the shelving

I am having the exact problem with my GE Profile Arctica. Did you figure out what is wrong with it? I was thinking about ordering the Damper Door kit but not sure if this will solve the problem. Please let me know what you did? Thanks!

To check if the damper door is broken, remove the light cover at the top of the refer, remove the rear light bulb. Shine a flashlight down the hole and see if the damper door is laying in there, push in the light switch, see if the door opens or not. This will tell you if it is broken.

Our GE PROFILE PDS22SBRALSS refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer is cooling. We have been told to order a new damper assy and main control board. What you think?
