I have a GE gas range (model #JGBS21HED3ww). Just replaced the thermostat, the oven will not turn on when selected. The thermostat appears to work, and the ignitor/glow plug works perfectly, no gas is being supplied to the lower unit.

Now the curious part, when I turn on the back burners after a couple of minutes the oven starts to get gas and kicks on, then operates normally.

Do I have a faulty regulator? Any help would be appreciated.

Replace the ignitor. The ignitor is not strong enough to open the gas valve. Once you replace it, it will work fine. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
