From reading all the previous posts on this topic I have concluded the motor is bad. (Its just humming.) I have pulled out everything down to the sump assembly. I cant figure out how to get it out. I am assuming everything comes out together.

What I will do is to get the dishwasher from under the counter so you have more room to work on it. this is the part for the motor. AP3179651 by looking at the picture it looks like it can be taken out from the bottom see if is two bolts holding the motor and when putting back on make sure the O'rings are in place so it won't leak any water afterward. hope this is any help.

I would bench test the motor with 115 volts to verify it's bad. It might have cracked epoxy jamming the bearings. Pump # AP3179652

I see the 2 wires (a blue & a yellow) coming out of the motor. How do I test it? (remember I'm an amateur)

You have to get a electrical power cord strip the ends put a wire connector that will go on the motor pins , plug cord to an outlet hold the motor and see if it works or still hums.

Sorry for the late reply, Ive been sick & my wife is mad that she still doesnt have adishwasher. I disconnected the power & left the motor in place. Then I put power to those 2 wires, & there was nothing no humming or anything. My big question is how do I get the damn motor out? I dont see anything holdng it in place, no screws or anything. Does it twist? k of the moy Ps. the back the motor does spin

You have a 7/16th bolt behind the white plastic shield that holds the motor in place.
