washer/water shuts off when hits all rinse cycles

when the timer hits the rinse cycles, the water cuts off. We ordered a timer, but that didn't fix the problem. Could it be the water dispensing valve. Water flows in the wash cycle.

Does this washer have a water selector switch [cold,cold,cold,warm cold,hot etc.]if it does, check to see if it is working ok and make sure the washer fill hoses are not REVERSED on taps. this can cause the problem.

hoses on are correct taps, although this problem didn't start until I put new hoses on. Water selecter switch is working correctly.

make sure the both taps are open, then check to see if the cold water hose is on the right part of the mixing valve on the back of the washer,most of the time the washer valve is marked hot and cold. Cold on top and hot on bottom.

checked both connection on washer and they are hooked up correctly, hot to red and cold to green. Any other suggestions? Now when in wash cycle, water stops occasionally.

We just had our Whirlpool - Estate Brand washer doing the exact same thing. We ended up having a repair man come over and it turned out to be the lid switch needed replacing. Unfortunatly this is our second lid switch costing us a little under 100.00 per pop, but now that I've seen it done I'm sure I could order a replacement part from this site and switch it out myself.

ours turned out to be steel hoses were on backwards, and wouldn't let the water in.

Gotta watch those anti flood hoses with the check valves in them :)
