My dishwaher is leaking from underneath around what appears to be the pump houseing. I have checked online and there is a gasket in there. Do these go bad often if they are not used? This unit is in a rental and was not use much last year at all.

gaskets can crack when old. its a time thing not necessarily a usage thing. Mine leaks after >10 years.
