I have a GE washing machine model wjsr4160g1ww and it has stopped spinning.I thougt it was just in the rinse cycle but itis not spinning at all.

I fixed this myself by watching a you tube video I know this is going to sound crazy but it worked. I had to unplug it for a minute or more and then in 12 seconds open and close the lid 6 times.It reset the system.
