I can't control the temperature in the refrigerator and contents are freezing (at 16F). The gasket has been torn and I wonder if condensation may be a problem.

Thanks. Freezer temp. is -2F. No ice or frost visible on walls of freezer or fridge. I removed the housing of the temp. control in the refrig. and found a little ice in there. I'm afraid to do any more dissassembly right now. Any other ideas?

I would replace the cold control AP4127094 Be sure to route the sensing wire exactly where the old one was.

Hi;
I ordered the part you recommended but it doesn't fit. The mounting dimension is wrong and, upon further inspection of the photo, it looks a little different from the original part. Would you please review this?

Thanks<

Look at the manufacture number on the new control, if different than the original one, you will have problems. If so, I would send it back.

Hi:
I called the chat line just now and was told that Amana had changed the part and that the one I was sent is the proper part. However it differs from the one that is in my refrigerator. The spacing between the mounting holes is different. Also, the shaft is centered between the mounting holes on the part I was sent, but is not centered on the part that is in my refrigerator.

Originally you told me I need PN AP4127094. The Purchase Order has that number and also C3615018. The part I received is marked C36150- 18. (Do the dash and space in front of the 18 have any significance?)

What is your advice?

That model # you gave does not work and I believe you must add the "P" manufacturing number, they may have changed the design in the year the item was manufactured.

Hi;
Please clarify what I must do to obtain the proper part to repair the refrigerator. It was not clear to me from your last message.

I got a "P" # P7700012W is this correct for your fridge? The part # AP4127094 has mounting holes 3 inches apart with the shaft centered in the middle.
