I installed the LP conversion kit. Drum turns, air blows but no heat. I checked the gas - good. All electric connections appear to be connected. when dryer is running I can hear a click when I turn heat selector from heat to air fluff.

What is the complete model number of the dryer?

Make sure all gas shut off valves are open and gas is coming to the dryer gas valve.

Yes, those are the parts I installed. It was difficult to view the ingitor whith the drier assembled. I took off the front, leaned it against the right side of dryer and plugged the harness together. I Held the drum up with an oven glove and turned it on. the ignitor glowed only a couple places on the timer dial; when I turned the dial all the way to 70 and maybe about half way. Anyway, I guess I burned out the ignitor. I didn't have the gas hooked up when I was experimenting. Is the heat from the gas flame supposed to turn off the ignitor?

Yes, after the flame goes "on" and it has been sensed by the flame sensor, the power should be redirected through the gas valve coils and the igniter should go "off". Check the igniter for continuity.
