I have an estate washer that i bought new in 2000. Recently the top agitator stopped working and seems loose. The bottom works fine. I can put pressure on the top agitator and get it work but as soon as i let off it stops. It will also catch and work briefly sometimes but will not work throughout the wash cycle. It looks like the tabs that catch on the teeth to turn the top are not able to catch like they are supposed to like something has loosened or come off but i cant find it. If you could please tell me what part i may need or what may need to be replaced on the top agitator..

Thank you

Hi,

You need to replace the "dogs" in the agitator.
