Top loading, machine is labeled 'special edition',6 cycle, 2 spead motor.
I looked through the tubes underneath and didn't see any crud or blockage. Ran it and let it fill up with water, then ran the spin cycle, it appeared to do what it should, spun fast and water went out.
What could be the problem?

Fill it with clothes, and fill it with water, then let it wash for a few minutes, just to get the clothes dry. Then throw it in to a spin cycle, and open the lid, and press down on the the lid switch, and if it takes off, and runs like a champ, and all the lines are clear, it is a possibility that the timer is advancing to fast, and not giving the clothes enough time to spin dry. If it does not spin, when you check the spin cycle, the spin tube and brake assembly will be your problem. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

It spins. Looks like it spins fast enough. I noticed a input of water, is that normal? It does better on different cycles.
