I have a Tappan Gas stove. We were cleaning the front control area and accidently activated the door lock. I cannot get it to unlock. We unplugged the stove and left it off for quite some time. The lock will not open. The book doesn't mention this. Any ideas?

The lock assembly has a switch that locks the door during cleaning, I will
check that first. you will have to lift the plate on the stove to get to the the switch. or just take the latch off you don't need it. self cleaning = trouble.
and with a flat screw driver you can move the latch to the left and get the
door to open so you have room to take the latch off.

Thanks for your reply. It will be useful in the future I'm sure. But by accident I just was able to fix it. I have the users manual and there was nothing there. I searched the Frigidare web site nothing. Then I opened the door and ran my hand along the edge of the range where the door closer is and there is a springed button. I pushed on it and there was a buzz and the door lock opened and the range reset. I never had anything like this happen before. The burners wouldn't light either. Again thank you for answering my post and maybe my info can help someone else.
