Have an LG washer front load, (controls in front) the door is not closing correctly... took apart and found that the detergent tray has been splashing over and leaking down the entire front left side, causing corrosion as well as falling exactly over the hinge assembly which is now locked up and cannot be moved even after removing, and cleaning off by soaking in a parts soak, with oil... still not budging... besides getting a new part... any idea's? Thanks in advance.

I know of no solution other than replacement of the damaged parts.

Sorry, wish we had better news.
