MY REFRIGERATOR WAS SET TOO COLD AND THE FOOD WAS PRACTICALLY FREEZING SO I HAVE BEEN FIDGETING WITH THE TEMP CONTROL FOR BOTH THE FRID AND FREEZER FOR ABOUT A WEEK OR TEN DAYS NOW AND YESTERDAY I DISCOVERED WATER ON THE FLOOR UNDER IT AND THE FREEZER BECAME TOO WARM THE FRIG THEN BECAME TOO WARM AND TODAY IS SEEMS AS THOUGH THE FREEZER IS ON ITS WAY BACK BUT THE FRIG IS STILL WARM AND I DONT HEAR THE MOTOR AT ALL BUT JUST AN INTERMITTENT NOISE ABOUT EVERY TEN MINUTES. ALSO, THE ICE MAKER HASN'T WORKED FOR ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AND I THINK IT NEEDS A NEW FILTER, COULD THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FREEZER AND FRIG TEMP? AND WHY IS IT LEAKING, IS IT THE ICE MELTING? (I PUT BOUGHT ICE IN THE ICE CONTAINER THE ICE DISPENSER WORKS AND I USE IT BUT HAVE BEEN PUTTING THE ICE FROM THE GROCERY STORE IN THE DISPENSER).

Seems like your compressor is hard starting. If so, you could try a new start device that is mounted on the side of the compressor. Part # AP2114990
