My stove top works excellent but the oven will not heat up (slight smell of gas). The broiler will eventually work. this is an intermittant problem but getting worse. Any advise would be awesome.

You probably need to change your ignitors Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Oven igniter, part number: 786324

Do not touch the ceramic parts with your bare hands, the oils from your skin will mess them up.
