My dryer would not start about 8 months ago until I "bangned" on the upper control panel. It just stopped running a few days ago. Hitting the panel doesn't seem to help any longer. When left alone, the dryer comes on intermittently. I'm not certain if it is heating during this intermittent activity. Any suggestions?

Open the control panel and check for a loose or broken wire. Let us know what you find.

I have done so and don't see any loose connections, etc.

I would take apart the timer and look for burnt contacts. If bad order the timer P#3398195. If ok, check the start relay P# 348314
