My double oven beeped several times tonight and then the display went blank. My husband turned off the power to the oven and then turned it back on. No change. He then unplugged the display internally and still no change. what would be causing this? Help!

Also, we've had two Whirlpool appliances go bad this year - is there a 7 year timer where Whirlpool appliances go bad?????????

Manual says: Press CANCEL, if the error code returns, replace the control board.
