Check to see if you have an obstruction inside the pump.

If the hoses and the pump is clear, then it would be the motor control module, located in the back left hand corner of the washer. But first take the fat hose coming off the the bottom of the tub, that goes into the pump, you can access it by taking off the rear panel. Inside that hose is a filter, that normally gets clogged. Take a good look at it. Also when you put it in a drain and spin cycle is the pump coming on at all? Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
Open up the lower front panel. There should be a data sheet in there to diagnose your problem. Could be the timer or the motor control.

I have a GE front loader and I have cleaned the filter and I have now figured out how to remove the pump. I need to know if the pump fan(Hanning Elektro) should move freely or should it move slowly? I am trying to figure out if the pump has stuff in it but I can't get it open. There is nothing visable in the fan, although there was a lot in the filter. After cleaning the filter alone, the washer would still not drain after I tried to do another load. Any ideas?

Sounds like the pump just needs to be replaced.

I was hoping you would not say that. I can't seem to find one for sale. I hate to pay someone to come out and do it for me. I have already figured out how to get it out and that is half the battle. Do you know the best place to order one?

You can remove the screws that hold the 2 halves of the pump together, and see if you have something in there, just make sure you put it back together the way it came apart.
