I have a RCA side by side that the cam riser off of the refrigerator side door as disintegrated and I found pieces of it on the floor Thanksgiving Day. How hard will it be for a layman to replace this without hiring outside help? Also if I replace the cam riser, what else should I replace while I have the door off?
Thanks

Without checking to see if anything else is broken it's hard to tell, but replacing a cam riser is pretty simple.

Yes, you do have to take the door off. I would recommend to order the whole bottom hinge kit which included the door cam riser too. Empty the door. Unscrew the screws holding the upper door hinge first and remove this hinge. Lift the door up to release it from the bottom hinge and it's all yours. - The part number for the bottom door hinge kit is AP2063068 Here are the break down diagrams for the RCA refrigerator Model MSX20GLBGene.
