My upper heating (broil) element went out. I ordered a new element and replaced it. Its still does not work. Power is not getting to the element. The bottom heating element works fine. I believe the problem to be somewhere in the controller that controls the (upper) element to heat up but not sure. I don't want to spend unecessary time, money or parts that is not needed.

Check the wiring from the control panel to the broil element, you may have a broken wire.
